Paradise Nature Club: Garden Bioblitz
About this Event
What's living in our garden right now? Come and help us find out.
July's Paradise Nature Club is a bioblitz: a community wildlife survey where everyone pitches in to spot, record and identify as many species as possible in an afternoon. Every observation counts, and you might be surprised what's out there if you know where to look.
We're delighted to be joined by Les Evans-Hill, an insect expert who will be helping us focus on butterflies and moths, to celebrate the , the UK's largest butterfly survey, and . Les will also be sharing tips on how to tell apart the broad groups of insects you might encounter in an urban garden like ours.
There will also be a range of other nature-based activities to get stuck into on the day 🌿
No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to look closely at the world around you. All finds will be recorded and contributed to national biodiversity databases.
This is part of our free monthly Paradise Nature Club series: seasonal, hands-on, family-friendly events celebrating biodiversity, creativity and togetherness in our community garden.
All materials provided. All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session.
☕ Please bring a reusable cup for tea and coffee
