Para Youth and Siblings PADDLESPORT (Climbing book separately)CARDIFF

Join us for a Para and Siblings Paddlesport Session, a fully inclusive paddlesport  session, for aged 7–18. These friendly, supportive sessions offer a chance to try something new, build confidence, develop body awareness, foster trust – and most importantly, have fun on the water! There is a morning session of climbing at Cardiff climbing wall - Boulders, this must be booked separately.  

IMPORTANT DUE TO WASTED SPACES! These sessions are funded and in high demand – if you're unable to attend, please cancel via Eventbrite so someone on the waiting list can join, we don't want wasted spaces:) 

Session Details 

• Venue: Cardiff International White Water Centre (CIWW) 
  Watkiss Way, Cardiff, CF11 0SY 

• Activity: Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP), Kayaking, or Canoeing 

Important Notes 

• 6.1 miles between Boulders and CIWW. Transport is not provided. 

• Weather: If the session needs to be rescheduled due to weather conditions, we will notify you the day before with an alternative date. 

• Swimming Ability: Participants do not need to be able to swim but must feel comfortable in the water while wearing a buoyancy aid (even in deep water). 

• Facilities: There is no café onsite, so please bring any food or drinks you may need. Picnic tables are available. 

• Changing Facilities: Showers and toilets are available. Lockers are provided – please bring a £1 coin (CIWW cannot provide change). 

• Accessibility: Free parking, wheelchair-accessible facilities and support available 

• No wheelchair hoist available. 

What to Bring 

• Swimming costume (to wear under the wetsuit) 

• Large towel 

• Spare warm top 

• Water bottle 

• Sun hat & suncream 

• Any personal Medic*tion required 

• A wetsuit, wetsuit boots, buoyancy aid, and paddlesport equipment will be provided. 

Activity Overview 

Upon arrival, instructors will provide and help fit all necessary equipment. Participants will then change in the provided facilities, followed by a safety briefing and instructions. 

The activity either Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Kayaking, or Canoeing will depend on weather conditions on the day. This will be on a sheltered flat water area.
