PAR 2026 Test & Tune / Novice SchoolWhat is diifferent about a Test-and-Tune event?
Test-and-Tunes are non-competition events, designed to give entrants an opportunity to make many more runs than at a competition event so that they can make changes to their car and practice on a simpler course than usual. We will still have timing and the display, however we will not be tracking or announcing times. For this event, we will run 4 one hour blocks of run/work. Participants will be required to sign up for one block of work and can freely run for the other 3 blocks. If there is sufficient interest (5+ people), we may continue running on a fun-run style "pick up your own cones" basis.
We are also offering something new for this event: Instructors! If you are looking to go faster, get the most out of your car, or even just stay on course, we will have a variety of experienced members who will be working as instructors for this event. You will be in a small group with 1-2 other people, and your instructor will work with your group for all 3 run blocks. Your instructor will ride along with you, take you for rides in their car, and even drive your car (if you are comfortable with that). They'll give personalized feedback and specific things to work on so that you can maximize the quality of your practice. You will still have 1 work block as it is needed for the event to run smoothly, and will give your instructor an opportunity to take a break.
This event will be held in the parking lot east of the water park offices at the former Cohen Stadium.
The event is subject to cancellation if a minimum of 22 drivers is not reached before February 18th at 9:00 PM.
