Exhibition opens Thursday, May 7th in the Edward A. Whitney Gallery. Artist talk and closing reception will be on September 10, 2026 at 4 p.m.Eliza Weber is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work explores interconnectedness, materiality, and spatial relationships through a diverse range of materials and processes including ceramics, paper, found objects, and textiles. Her artistic practice often reflects on dualities and context, creating abstract expressions that evoke emotional resonance and playfulness while considering how people and objects interact within both interior and exterior environments.
She holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the University of Montana, and has participated in several notable art residencies around the world, including Medalta in Alberta, Canada, The Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China, and Pottery Northwest in Seattle, Washington.
Weber has also contributed to arts education and community engagement, having served as Director of Education at the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art in Great Falls, Montana, and has been involved with national arts organizations such as NCECA (National Council on Education of Ceramic Arts), including serving on the NCECA Green Task Force.
She is currently a Long-Term Resident at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana, and her work continues to examine how everyday materials and forms reflect broader relationships between self, others, and place.
