Paper Run is a new folk project from songwriters Dan Beacom & Mel Taylor. Drawing on the nostalgic sounds of the ’60s and ’70s, their style is built around acoustic textures featuring tight-knit harmonies, tinkering keys, and plucked strings, reminiscent of golden mornings and well-worn records.

Naarm/Melbourne-based alt-folk songwriter Bec Sykes has been deftly carving her own melody into the Australian music landscape with her striking voice, songwriting and success. In November 2024, Bec released her debut album, ‘Pepperpot Magic’. Produced by Robert Muiños (Julia Jacklin, Didirri), the record masterfully blends the intimate with the universal, with organic piano and textured guitars weaving around her signature deep, honeyed voice. Having supported the likes of Sarah Blasko, Mia Wray, Telenova and Josh Pyke, Bec is on an undeniable path to bloom.

Originally from the Northern Rivers, Roly grew up immersed in a small but vibrant music community. He picked up the guitar at age 12, inspired by a rich local culture of blues festivals, jazz nights, and classical guitar performances.
After moving to Melbourne, Roly entered the city's dynamic music scene, joining the band Fierce Mild, who toured and released an album produced by Nikita Miltiadou and also organised a range of music festivals. Seeking to find his own voice, Roly eventually left the band to pursue a solo path. Influenced by artists like Andy Shauf, Derek Gripper, and Jessica Pratt, he has since written a collection of songs and instrumental pieces known for their rich imagery and storytelling.
