Paper quilling is the art of twisting and twirling paper strips to create intricate shapes. It’s a versatile papercraft skill that can be used for card making, décor, scrapbooking, jewelry, and many multimedia visual arts. This class will focus on making gift tags. These aren't your average gift tag - they're made out of wood, painted, and embellished to create beautiful and unique additions to holiday gifts.
This class is open to new and returning paper quilling students. Beginners will receive a demonstration on creating paper quilling shapes from the instructor. Returning students are welcome to skip the demonstration and get straight to work on their project. Students will work alongside the instructor to practice these techniques and will then come up with their own gift tag design to create. By the end of the class, every student should have made progress on or completed a gift tag.
There are two registration types available for this class - an option for new beginners that includes starter quilling supplies (a quilling board, quilling tool, and pack of paper) and an option for returning students to bring their own. Both registration options will include 20 wooden gift tags per student and access to shared materials (including extra paper, paint, and glue) during the class.
