Location: Highlands Biological Station
Celebrate the beauty of spring trilliums with two hands-on workshops creating life-size, realistic replicas of Trillium vaseyi (Vasey’s Trillium) using crepe paper.
Workshop Details:
Learn to craft paper botanicals while exploring the botanical characteristics of trilliums.
No prior experience required, but scissors and good finger dexterity are needed.
Materials provided; tools available for use during the workshop.
A 30-minute lunch break will be included (bring your own).
About the Artist:
Cynthia Woodsong specializes in paper replicas of North Carolina’s native plants, focusing on species with short bloom times or those not easily brought indoors. Her work blends botanical accuracy with artistry and is featured in the NC Botanical Garden’s Garden Shop.
