Paper & Pencil: An Urban Sketching Meet-Up

You’re invited to join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly urban sketch meet-up centered on a simple idea: show up, spend time outdoors, and draw.

Whether you're a beginner looking to start some creative habits or a more experienced sketcher looking for another excuse to get outside this meet up is for you! We’ll meet regularly throughout the summer, exploring different locations and incorporating simple themes to keep each session fresh and inspiring. One week might focus on storefronts, shifting shadows, or small architectural details. Another might simply be about capturing the atmosphere of the moment.

Bring your sketchbook. Bring a friend. Or simply bring yourself. 

*How to Attend: Paper & Pencil is a low-pressure meet-up that is lightly facilitated. There are no expectations and no requirement to be “good.” Conversation is welcome but never required. The goal is simply to create consistently, share space with others, and enjoy being outside together. This event is outdoors and we will meet in front of the Asher building outside the Creativity Center at 5:30p before walking over to the Depot for this session.
