The City of Wixom’s Panther Hunt has been a tradition since 1988!
In the 1980’s several sightings of a black cat-like animal prowling in Wixom and the surrounding area were reported to the Wixom Police Department.
After evidence of large paw prints was found, it was assumed that the mysterious creature was a panther! There was a lot of media attention which led to years of searching. But the panther was never captured. At the Wixom Panther Hunt you’ll have the
chance to see if you can spot the ever-elusive panther as you celebrate the Halloween season!
