About this Event

"Pandimia: Act of Gods" is a comedy/drama (though mostly comedy) about life in New York during the COVID pandemic and lockdown. It examines the experience through two couples -- one is a straight couple with a young child and the other is a gay couple who are no longer. romantically involved but who are continuing to live together during the pandemic. Among the pandemic-related themes the play examines are the loss of intimacy, the stress placed on relationships, substance abuse, and the insanity of life during the pandemic. The play uses a variety of comedic techniques, including absurdism, satire, caricaturization, irony, and slapstick.

The play will bring audience members back to those surreal times, but in a way that allows them to laugh very hard at what we endured.

Pandimia: An Act of Gods will be playing at the American Theatre for Actors inside the Cullum theatre, as apart of the Midtown International Theatre Festival, from July 15th- 18th
