Who is Anthony T. Browder?

Anthony T. Browder is an author, publisher, cultural historian, artist, and educational consultant who has spent more than four decades researching African history and ancient Egyptian civilization. A graduate of the College of Fine Arts at Howard University, Browder has lectured across the United States and on five continents. He is the founder and director of IKG Cultural Resources and has traveled to Egypt more than 65 times since 1980 while studying the science, philosophy, and culture of ancient Kemet (Egypt).

Browder is also the first African American to fund and coordinate an archaeological excavation in Egypt. Through the ASA Restoration Project, he is helping excavate and restore tombs of Kushite noblemen from the 25th Dynasty near Luxor. Working alongside his daughter Atlantis Tye—the first African American father-daughter archaeological team in Egyptian history—Browder has authored numerous books and educational works used worldwide. His research emphasizes that ancient African civilizations played a foundational role in shaping the scientific, religious, and philosophical traditions of the modern world.
