Thanks to the community, last year PALS was able to double funding for the existing John Cahill Community Service Scholarships. Every dollar raised helps us spoil our teachers with meals, treats, and surprises all week long! Last year, funds from this event provided decorations for teacher lounges, hot meals and snacks, as well as, goodie bags and treats for staff, teachers, and bus drivers during Teacher Appreciation Week. Check out the video from Teacher Appreciation Week 2025:
You do not need to attend the event to participate in the auction, items include Cubs tickets, swim lessons, tutoring, wine tastings, gym memberships, passes to children’s activities, gift cards and more! Auction will be LIVE on February 10th https://givebutter.com/c/AZQTBt/auction
Need childcare? Register your kids (K-5th grade) for a “Kids Night In” at the community center from 6p-10p, hosted by Lincolnwood Parks and Recreation. http://tiny.cc/cldx001
When you support PALS, you support:
* Classroom enrichment
* Staff appreciation
* Student and family events
* Community givebacks
Mini-Grant Program: PALS awarded eight teachers with mini-grants. These grants funded several resources, including an Aeroponic Growing Tower, a Gaga Ball Pit, and classroom materials such as educational math games, art supplies, dramatic play items, flannel boards, and sensory tools.
Cahill Scholarship donation: Thanks to a generous donation from PALS, the District was able to increase both the number and amount of scholarships this year, awarding five $1,000 Cahill Community Service Scholarships to high school seniors who are alumni of Lincoln Hall.
Appreciation Week: Lights, camera, action! PALS gave SD74 teachers and staff the star treatment during a Hollywood-themed Appreciation Week, held May 5-9. From glitzy hallway decor to A-list meals, snacks, swag bags, and raffle prizes, PALS rolled out the red carpet. The memorable week was a sincere expression of gratitude from students and families, thoughtfully organized by PALS.
PALS (People Active with Lincolnwood Schools) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.
