Palm Sunday: Procession with Alpaca and Brass band, Eucharist, lunch

On Palm Sunday the people of Greenwich Village re-enact the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. We gather in St Benedict's Courtyard garden. Palms are provided but feel free to bring your own foliage or any kind. The Procession, led by the alpaca (as a beast of burden) and brass band, lead us through West 11th and Perry Streets and Waverly Place to enter the church. The Eucharist is sung to music by Lassus, Victoria, and David Hurd by St John's professional choir. Lunch is served in the courtyard (or gallery, depending on the weather) following the liturgy.
