12:00 noon – 1:00 pm: Registration:

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Palm Identification: Forty-eight palms will be identified in their entirety, using growth habits, trunks, leaves, inflorescences, and fruits to help in the process.

3:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Identification and Treatment of Palm Nutritional Deficiencies: This is a detailed examination of the six most common nutritional deficiencies by species of landscape palms. Deficiencies include potassium, magnesium, nitrogen, boron, manganese and iron.

4:00 – 4:30 pm: Test your knowledge. Not mandatory.

8:15 – 9:00 am: Registration

9:00 am – 10:00 am: Common and Uncommon Insects of Palms: A look at some of the most troublesome insects of palms and other that are of little consequence.

10:00 am – 11:00 am. Common and Uncommon Diseases of Palms: An examination of the major diseases of palms including Ganoderma, Lethal Bronzing and Fusarium. Numerous other diseases will be covered to assist you in everyday maintenance.

11:00 – 12 noon: Normal Abnormalities of Palms: A look at the many normalities of palms that may be mistaken for harmful disorders, insects, or disease problems or just plain unattractiveness. Some you already know, others may come as a surprise.

12:10 pm – 12:40 pm: Test your knowledge. Not mandatory.
