Palliative Care, Self Care and Local Improvements

A discusison about how we can care for self an each other as practitioners who look after the seriously ill and each other.

Followed by an update on the progress we are making caring for our local population who need community palliative care.

The session will be hosted by Dr Carolyn Berry a local GP who has recently completed a local Quality Improvemnt Project 'Improving the provision of palliative care within general practice using the Gold Standards Framework'.

Dr Mike Blaber who is the Wellbeing Lead for junior doctors and specialist doctor in Palliative Medicine at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust

Dr Rebecca Dawber one of the Sandwell & West Birmingham Connected Palliative Care Consultants and co-lead for the SWB Community Palliative and end of life Quality Improvement project.

Attendees: This session is designed for general practitioners and health care professionals working in primary care based in Sandwell particularly those with an interest or have a role in coordinating and delivering palliative and end of life care.
