Art, Music, Food, and Community, All in one Huge Event!Ready to show off your creativity and celebrate our planet?
"Pallets in the Park" is back and bigger than ever! We’re bringing together art, community, and sustainability for a vibrant Earth Day bash at the beautiful Lowell Park Pinetum.
Transform a simple wooden pallet into a unique work of art and help us turn the forest into an outdoor gallery! This is a family-friendly, eco-friendly challenge for artists, families, businesses, and groups of all ages.
🗓️ THE TIMELINE:
📍 STEP 1: PALLET PICK-UP
March 30th – April 2nd
Swing by the Lowell Park Nature Center to grab your reclaimed pallet supplied by the Dixon Park District.
(First come, first served!)
📍 STEP 2: THE CREATIVE PHASE
Take your pallet home and transform it! Paint it, wood-burn it, or decorate it, just keep it eco-friendly!
📍 STEP 3: THE DEADLINE
April 17th
All completed pallet masterpieces must be turned back into the Nature Center by this date to be entered into the judging.
🚀 THE MAIN EVENT: EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
Wednesday, April 22nd | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Lowell Park
We are going all out for the "whole shabang" this year! Join us for a massive community celebration featuring:
🥕 Farmers Market: Shop local vendors and eco-friendly goods.
🚚 Food Trucks: Grab dinner in the park from some of the area's best mobile kitchens.
🎶 Live Music: Enjoy the vibes while you explore the art.
🏆 Awards Ceremony: We will announce the winners of each pallet category during the event!
WANT TO BE A VENDOR? We are looking for Farmers Market vendors!

Following the event, all pallets will remain on display in the Pinetum for the community to enjoy throughout the spring.
