Painting Your Historic House

We'll cover topics from choosing the perfect pallet to paint materials and tools, proper prep, cleanup and safety practices.

The workshop is being held in the historic 1891 Eason House– the new home of Family Advocates. Come early (9:30) for coffee and doughnuts and a look at the house. Presentation will be from 10:00 - 11:00, with a Q & A after.

Presenter Paul Hayden is the director of Indiana Landmarks’ Northeast Field Office in Wabash.

Hayden has been with the organization for 10 years as a community preservation specialist in the South Bend office. Before that he spent 10 years managing historic home renovations for South Bend Heritage Foundation. He has also has personally restored historic homes, and for a time he operated Relics, an antiques store in South Bend.
