Dive into the intriguing world of sustainable artistry in our unique workshop, where creativity meets conservation! Join us as we harness the raw beauty of iron oxide sourced from the Tanoma Abandoned Mine Drainage (AMD) Site in Indiana, PA.
Led by teaching artist Jean Wong, participants will make their own watercolor paint from the rich, reddish-brown pigment harvested from the site, and use it to create their own watercolor paintings. Join us as we transform reclaimed materials into works of art, celebrating the beauty of nature while fostering a deeper connection to our surroundings.
This workshop is made possible through the Leeway Foundation Art & Change grant and the Evergreen Conservancy in Indiana, PA.
