Painting with Fire! Pamela Browne creates Encaustic Painting with Molten Wax, Shellac and Fire!

Would you like to learn to paint with fire? On November 6, 2026, First Friday at 6:00 PM, Pam will demonstrate how to make a finished piece of Encaustic Art. She will prepare a wood substrate to accept molten wax then design an Encaustic Painting through the layering of colored molten wax. The process then moves on to creating a smooth surface and adding techniques like enhancing the painting with a shellac burn.
Encaustic painting is such an exciting medium giving you opportunities to etch in, create texture and give you that luminous glow that only comes from the Encaustic process!
Pam says, "Join me at 157 Middle Street in the Old Port in Portland Maine for an exciting Encaustic Art Demo! It's free!"
Light refreshments will be provided!
