Often misunderstood and under used, heavy body acrylics favoured by Nicola Slattery are ideal for beginners embarking upon their painting journey. They are also used by growing numbers of professional artists as more versatile alternatives to traditional oils and water colour. All of Nicola Slattery's widely exhibited paintings are painted using the same acrylic paints provided for use on her weekend art courses.
On this art course you will be encouraged to develop your own style and to paint that which inspires you. You will learn how to layer the paint, to mix colour, basics of composition and useful tips and 'tricks of the trade' such as the use of the 'stay wet palette' and much more.
