Painting the Beautiful Blues of Winter
Let’s embrace the arrival of winter with a cheerful and bright mindset. In this workshop, we will create a lively winter scene on sanded pastel paper. Immerse yourself in translucent wet underpainting methods, explore the range of beautiful blue hues, and delve into expressive mark-making. The class offers focused guidance, independent work periods, and personalized feedback for all participants.

Pocket Color Wheel
Hard + Soft Pastels*
*A mix of hard and soft pastels which include light to dark values of the 12 main colors found on the color wheel is suitable. To achieve the best results, professional artist grade pastels are encouraged for their archival quality, lightfastness and high pigmentation.
We will be working on tables, but you are welcome to bring a standing or table easel.
