Chase Cha is a performance artist of extended durational aesthetics. On Saturday, September 28, Chase will be painting in the courtyard of the Belleville Public Library and John M. Parrott Art Gallery between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. He will be painting in his unique style using spray paint on 3 canvases, for 12 straight hours .
Chase voices a contemporary message of "inquiry into being and potential" and we are pleased to be supporting his artistic journey. His exhibition This Mid-Life Crisis will be on display in our Gallery opening on November 23, 2024.
We hope you will be able to drop by our courtyard to view Chase painting throughout the day. The three paintings from this performance will be on display during his exhibition later this year.
