Class begins promptly at 9 a.m. in the Community Room at the Welcome and Discovery Center in Parking Lot #3. We recommend arriving an hour early to the park due to heavy traffic onto the island and into the main area of the park at this time of year.

Join Artist-in-Residence Jenny M. Licht for a Glassware Painting Class at Lovers Key State Park. With Jenny's help, you'll transform your glassware into beautiful works of art!

All materials provided including 2 glassware, special glass paint, use of brushes, palette as well as step by step art guidance and templates.

Students have an infinite array of design choices including: Flamingos, Palm Trees, Flip Flops, Tropical Fish, Abstract Shapes, Flowers, Animal Prints, Seahorses, Sea Life, Sport Themes/teams plus dozens of other ideas or your own concept. Painted samples provided or Jenny can hand draw your idea design in class.

You’ll leave with two beautiful, hand painted glasses. Be sure to bring a basket or box and soft cloths to carry your glasses home. The paint isn't solidly set yet and a slotted box could rub the newly painted surface. Glassware paint is permanent and hand washing is recommended. Any level of interest or ability is welcome.
