Painting Nocturnes!

Celebrate the ethereal light of winter in this painting workshop dedicated to exploring the historic genre of Nocturnes!
About this Event

Join us in December for a three-day workshop exploring the historical "nocturne" made popular in the 1870s and tied closely with the later Tonalist Movement. After exploring the range of palette choices and analyzing the compositional structures, participants will paint a mastercopy of a 19th to early 20th Century painting. Instructor, Christina Mastrangelo, is in the process of choosing the subject matter. Students will work from a photo reference provided by the instructor. The instructor will teach in the studio to both in-person and Zoom participants.
