Join SCAHC for a captivating journey into the founding of the United States—told through the powerful lens of the fine arts. From paintings and poems to portraits, sculptures, and music, explore how artists of the American Revolution captured the spirit of a new nation. You will be learning about the artists and the stories behind their iconic works, including: “Washington Crossing the Delaware” by Emanuel Leutze, “George Washington Portrait” by Gilbert Stuart, “The Bloody Massacre” by Paul Revere, and John Trumbull’s Paintings in the US Capitol Building.
Learn how these creative expressions not only reflected a pivotal moment in history but continue to shape our national identity today.
