Your Puppy Portrait Workshop: Paint Your Own Pet Portrait
Minimum 2 sessions required.
Overview:
• Duration: Session 1, 3 hours.
Session 2, 3 hours.
Participants are required to book at least to sessions to complete the artwork. Please provide me a clear front-facing screenshot or picture of your pet by messaging inbox or email to [email protected]
• Materials Provided: Canvas (30x40 cm) or watercolor paper A4, paints, brushes, and other necessary supplies.
• Extras: Complimentary glass of wine
• Location: Street parking available, or park at the location
• Style: Abstract expressionist (not a realistic artwork)
Session 1: Introduction and Initial Painting
Title: Creating Your Abstract Expressionist Pet Portrait - Part 1
Duration: 3 hours
Agenda:
1. Welcome and Introduction (30 minutes):
• Introduction to the workshop and abstract expressionist art style.
• Overview of materials provided and their use.
2. Selecting and Preparing Your Canvas/Paper (20 minutes):
• Choosing between canvas or watercolor paper.
• Setting up your workspace.
3. Basic Watercolor Techniques (30 minutes):
• Emphasis on capturing the essence rather than realistic details.
• Guidance on painting with watercolor your pet’s basic shape and features from a provided photo In advance. ( It is not an sketching workshop, as a courtesy the draft of your puppy silhouette will be provided to get you started). Please send a photo of your pet's face, ones you book your 2 sessions.
4. Introduction to Abstract Expressionism (40 minutes):
• Explanation of abstract expressionism and its application in pet portraits.
• Demonstration of basic techniques and brushwork.
5. Starting Your Portrait (1 hour):
• Participants begin painting their portraits.
