Paint your Pet Workshop with Finn Erickson
Date and Time: November 22, 6-8 p.m.
Location: SMAC Art Center, 7 Downing Street, Hollister, MO 65672
Experience level: Beginner to Advanced. Open to ages 12-adult. (Children 11 and under may take the workshop if accompanied by an adult.)
Fee: $40 per person (Hollister residents $20.00)
Get to know your pet in an artistic way by learning how to paint it at the Paint your Pet Workshop with artist/instructor Finn Erickson, scheduled for November 22, from 6-8 p.m. You will need to send a photo of your pet to SMAC at [email protected] no later than the day prior to class. Finn will then enlarge it and transfer the outline of your pet onto an 8”x10” canvas ready for you to paint in the workshop. Only a single animal per canvas is allowed.
Since the canvas will already have your pet’s outline, this class is doable even if you are a beginner. It is also suitable for intermediate and advanced art students. Finn will guide you through every step of the way, through color matching to various painting techniques to capture the textures of fur.

All supplies and materials are included in the fee of $40 ($20 for Hollister residents, thanks for a grant from the City of Hollister Parks and Recreation Department). Hollister residents make sure to put the word “Hollister” in the coupon code box at checkout when you buy your tickets, to secure the discount.
Be sure to wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting paint on, but aprons will be available for use in the class too.
