Paint Your Own Watercolor Postcard: Beach Sunsets at Living Room Wines

I'll teach you how to paint a beautiful beach sunset with watercolors! We will warm up by exploring our color palette as always. I will begin by demonstrating some techniques to landscape painting in watercolor, focusing on how to get that perfect sunset gradient with the right colors. We'll then apply these skills to a full painting based on a reference photo I've provided. You're also welcome to bring your own reference photo if you'd like to make your postcard extra personal!

You'll take home a finished painting on postcard paper that is ready to stick in the mail! You'll also leave with a set of artist's skills that you'll be able to directly apply to future paintings - whether you paint in your bedroom or plein air out in nature. A limited palette of watercolors and high quality watercolor postcard paper will be provided at the event, but you are encouraged to bring your favorite painting supplies as well. Ticket price includes one glass of wine! Other food and drinks can bbe purchased separately to enjoy while we paint. We'll be in a private room tucked in the back of the main bar. Space is very limited - only ten spots total - so make sure to reserve your spot soon. See you there!

Arin: Arin is a watercolor and mixed media artist based in Portland. With a background in the physical sciences, she lives at the intersection of nature, science and art and uses art as a platform to teach, explore and understand how the world works while breaking down the barrier between art and science.
