As local business owners in the Delmar Maker District, our entire HuSTL Hospitality team has been hard at work with our neighbors at Delmar Main Street working to help our community recover since the May 16th tornado. The next step is a public art project that we hope will bring some healing and hope to the neighborhood.
We're organizing a special community art project “Paint the Way Home” to bring hope and color back to one the areas most affected by the storm. We're looking for talented volunteer artists – that means you! – to help us transform 29 large boards and/or doors we’ve identified along Delmar. Imagine turning those temporary fixes into powerful visual messages of hope and our collective commitment to rebuilding together.

We're excited to offer this unique opportunity for artists of all styles and experience levels to contribute to our recovery efforts and showcase their talent within a supportive community environment. When: Friday, September 6th, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Where: Legacy Plaza East, 5229 Delmar Blvd, right here in the Delmar Maker District.
Why: To infuse our district with hope, renewal, and community strength following the tornado.
