About this Event

Join the City of San José’s Department of Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Services for a fun, family-friendly evening of art in the park. Inspired by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, this event invites all ages to explore creativity, express themselves, and connect with the community.

The first 50 participants who reserve a spot will receive a free artist station, including an easel, paintbrushes, acrylic paints, and a canvas to take home.

Bring your creativity and enjoy an evening of color, inspiration, and Frida-inspired fun.

To better serve our community this season our Paint Nights will be more accessible and community focused. We invite all residents living within the council district zip code of the event to join us.

While this event is free and open to the public, we are only able to offer materials to those who register in advance - so don't miss this opportunity, as reservation fills up quickly!

• Didn't get a chance to register? No worries! There will be plenty of additional art activities and games for everyone to enjoy throughout the event. Come join the fun, connect with your community, and spend a creative evening celebrating art and self-expression. We look forward to seeing you there!

We kindly ask that you only attend one (1) event per season to allow for other community members to experience this fantastic event.

The event starts at 6 p.m. with a free painting class led by our in-house art instructor for all-ages.

Check-in | 5:45 p.m. (If you are not checked in by 6:15 p.m. your space will be forfeited to allow guests on the waiting list to attend)

Event | 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

*Art materials are free to registered guests however you may also bring your own personal brushes and supplies if you prefer.

By signing up and attending this event, I understand that the City of San Jose may photograph and/or video events or activity in which I am (or my minor is) participating. I give my permission for the City of San Jose to use photographs or video of me (or my minor) for the purpose of promoting the City of San Jose and its services/programs/events. I give my permission with the following understanding: No compensation of any kind will be paid to me (or my minor) at this time or in the future for the use of my (or my minor’s) likeness. If I prefer to not be photographed and/or videotaped I will inform a staff member immediately before the event begins.
