An exciting art competition event hosted by River’s Edge Gallery,
209 S Market Street, Downtown Scottsboro, Alabama

Beginners to seasoned painters, come join the Community Paint on Saturday May 23, 2026.
Paint begins at 9AM – 12:00PM on the beautiful Jackson County Courthouse Square in Scottsboro.
Judging and Awards 1 – 2PM

Application Deadline, May 11th. 11:59 PM CST.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
• Artist must be 16 years of age.
• Artwork submitted for awards must have been created en plein air on the Square in Downtown Scottsboro Alabama during 5/23 event. Must be your original composition, your direct observation, not another artist's work.
• Acceptable painting mediums: Oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels.
• Artists are responsible for framing their exhibited artwork, bringing them to River’s Edge Gallery, 209 S Market Street, Scottsboro, Alabama.
• Must have your 8” x 10” canvas stamped by event.
• Promotional Use: You give organizers the right to use your art/headshot for promotion.
• Safety: Artists are responsible for their own safety and must not block public access.
• Disqualification: Risk of disqualification for using photos, studio work, or impeding others.
• All exhibited artwork must be for sale. Artists will set their own prices.
• All sales during event must include sales tax and be processed by River’s Edge Gallery whether sales made during judging or off your easel.
• Must sign your acceptance of terms and conditions and hold harmless agreement at time of registration. Artists should carefully read and understand the terms of such agreements before signing.

PAINT NORTH ALABAMA COMMUNITY PAINT AROUND THE SQUARE HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
I hereby waive, release and hold harmless from any liability for damages of personal injury including accidental death, as well as from claims for property damage which may arise in connection with the above-named activity, against the City of Scottsboro Alabama, Jackson County Alabama, River’s Edge Gallery,
Main Street Scottsboro, Scottsboro – Jackson Heritage Center, their elected and appointed officials, agents, employees and volunteers.
The artist agrees to bear all risk and expense for any loss, theft and/or damage to their artwork or other personal property or injury to their person. The artist agrees to be responsible for insuring their artwork, if so desired.
