Each month, contemporary painter Claire Jo Harmer, guides you through ways to use the paint. The medium and subject focus changes each month to give you the opportunity to explore and experiment without needing to purchase specialist supplies yourself.

Over 2026 there are 8 sessions. Each month has a unique focus:

19th April - Oils - Still life.

17th May - Oils - Landscapes.

14th June - Acrylics - Florals

19th July - Acrylics - Coast

16th August - Gouache - Woodland

20th Sep - Gouache - Marine life

18th Oct - Watercolour - Autumn

15th Nov - Watercolour - Christmas

This in-person event will take place at A Kick Up The Arts, Brixham. The space is also art studio to Claire Jo Harmer and Mark Bell giving you front row seats into their artistic practices.

Suitable for anyone looking to explore various types of paint and techniques.

Arrive at 10am, help yourself to a cuppa and take a look at the inspiration for the session. After discussion and a demonstration, you begin creating your own artwork responses. I'll be there to support and guide as much as you'd like! Looking forward to seeing you there!
