Paint & Pollinate - Decorate a Honeybee's New Home

Spend an afternoon at the farm decorating a home for the bees, meeting the goats, and soaking up the last little moments of summer.
About this Event

🐝 Enjoy a Fun Filled Day at the Farm

Come spend the day with us at Casa Loma Farms! We'll spend the day painting, meeting the goats, and learning a little about the bees that call our farm home.

Each family or group will get a wooden bee box to decorate however they'd like. We'll have tables full of paints, stickers, little decorations, and other fun things to play with. Bring your own supplies from home to give it an extra personal touch. Wander from table to table, trade supplies, help each other out, and let yourself get creative.

When we're finished, we'll take a little walk around the farm, visit the goats, and head over to the hives to learn about our bees and how they help our farm grow.

And then we'll find a special place around the farm for your finished box to stay.

☀️ Soak up the last bits of summer while ...

Making something together Decorate your own bee box with paints, stickers, and all sorts of little treasures. Every box will be a little different.

Meeting the goats 🐐 We'll take a walk to visit our goat crew, and you’ll have a chance to feed them and say hello.

Learning about the bees 🐝 We'll visit our hives and talk about the bees, honey, pollination, and what goes on inside a hive.

Exploring the farm 🌿 Take your time wandering around, enjoying the animals, the lavender, the views, and the little corners of the farm.

Eating and hanging out 🍎 We'll have some simple food and refreshments for everyone to enjoy while you relax and spend a day outside.

🎨 BYOS - Bring Your Own Supplies

Have a craft stash at home? Bring it with you! Feel free to bring any paints, stickers, ribbons, decorations, or other creative treasures you'd like to use on your bee home.

🐝 Want to decorate another box?

Add an additional bee box to your reservation for an additional cost, allowing everyone in your group to create something of their own. Additional boxes are limited and must be reserved in advance.

Casa Loma Market 🚜 Feel free to browse our small farm market, where you’ll find things made here at Casa Loma, including our honey, lavender goods, and other farm favorites. Everything is available to purchase if you’d like to bring a little bit of the farm home with you.
