Paint & Music Night with CYAN

Spend the evening painting in a guided session where music helps set the rhythm for the creative process. This workshop blends step-by-step painting instruction with a curated playlist and atmospheric lighting, creating a relaxed but energetic environment to explore creativity.

Whether you come with friends or on your own, the night is designed to be easygoing and welcoming. Follow along with the painting, move at your own pace, and let the music help shape the mood as your canvas comes to life.

This event is beginner-friendly and open to anyone interested in trying a guided painting session. No previous experience is required. It’s a social, low-pressure environment where participants can learn something new while spending time with others.

What to expect

Artist Chyvonne Archer will lead a step-by-step acrylic painting session designed for all skill levels. Participants will follow along as the painting comes together on canvas, with plenty of room to add personal touches along the way.

The session runs about two hours to allow everyone to paint at their own pace. A curated playlist will play throughout the evening, creating an upbeat, DJ-style atmosphere while people work on their paintings.

What’s included

All painting supplies are provided, including canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, and step-by-step instruction. Participants will leave with their finished painting at the end of the night.

Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase from the venue.

What to bring / prepare

Wear clothing you’re comfortable painting in. Acrylic paint can stain.

Accessibility notes

This is a seated event with background music and social conversation. Lighting may be slightly dim to create a relaxed atmosphere. The event takes place on the upper level of Sheepdog Brewing, and stairs are required to access the space. If you have accessibility needs, please reach out ahead of time and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

About the facilitator

The workshop will be led by Chyvonne Archer, an acrylic painter who leads guided workshops that encourage people to explore creativity in a relaxed and supportive environment.

You are always welcome to attend CYAN events on your own - many people do! Our event staff are there to support you, and we often use light icebreakers to help everyone feel comfortable and included.

While CYAN’s programming is designed with young adults in mind, everyone is welcome to attend our events, except events involving alcohol, which are 18+ only.
