Paint and Tea Islamic Art Workshop
About this Event
Life can feel busy. Between work, family, responsibilities, and the constant rush of everyday life, it can be hard to find a moment to simply sit, slow down, and create.
This workshop is an opportunity to do exactly that.
Join us for a relaxed afternoon of tea, conversation, and traditional Islamic art as we explore the beautiful art of Tezhip (Islamic illumination). Together, we will work on an artwork that includes classical motifs and painting techniques, creating a piece inspired by a centuries-old tradition that celebrates beauty, patience, and attention to detail.
You don’t need to be artistic, and you don’t need any experience. Many of our participants come simply looking for a creative escape, a chance to try something new, or an opportunity to spend a few hours in good company.
One of my favourite parts of these workshops is seeing complete strangers leave as friends, sharing stories, encouraging one another, and surprising themselves with what they can create.
During the workshop you’ll:
✨ Learn the basics of traditional Tezhip Ottoman/Persian art
✨ Create your own hand-painted artwork to take home
✨ Enjoy tea and sweets in a cosy atmosphere
✨ Connect with like-minded women in a welcoming space
All materials are provided, so just bring yourself.
Whether you come with a friend, your mother, your sister, or on your own, I’d love to have you join us for an afternoon of creativity, connection, and slowing down.
✨ Limited spaces available — early booking recommended.
