This isn’t about being the perfect mom or the perfect reader. It’s about putting the phone down, picking the book up, and just being you for a couple of hours.

Our first read this summer is Not According to Plan by Meg Doody, a swoony New England summer romance about second chances, old flames, and the wedding that brings them back together. A book you truly won’t want to put down.

Meg, just like me, is a Connecticut girl at heart who now calls Omaha home. Some things really are not according to plan.
