Pages + Play: A Loose Parts Pop-Up
Join Palmetto + Pine for a FREE family play event at Citrus & Sage!
We’re bringing a pop-up loose parts playground to the bookstore; an open-ended, child-led play experience designed to spark creativity, problem solving, and imagination.
So what are loose parts?
Loose parts are simple, open-ended materials (things like wood pieces, fabric, baskets, shells, recycled materials, and natural elements) that children can move, combine, stack, sort, design, and transform however they choose. There are no instructions and no right or wrong way to play. When children are given materials without a script, they naturally practice creativity, critical thinking, engineering skills, collaboration, confidence, and emotional regulation. It’s hands-on, screen-free, and powered entirely by imagination.
While the kids build and create, parents can grab a coffee from Bean & Bubble, browse the shelves, and enjoy a relaxed morning in community.
This free, family-friendly event is a beautiful opportunity to experience child-led play, support a local bookstore, sip something delicious, and learn more about what we offer at Palmetto + Pine.
