In this poignant and heartfelt drama, young Violet cares for her father, Paul, who is battling the muscle-weakening disease Myasthenia Gravis. Torn between duty and dreams, she leans on long-distance letters from her supportive friend Courtney. With the help of Nurse Jane and the wise maid Victoria, Violet begins to see a path forward. As she prepares to leave home, she and Paul discover that love and resilience can outlast even the toughest illness.
Behind the Door - Directed by Debbie Chambers. Written by Harley Westbrooks. In a courtroom, Ms. Lucinda Mendax stands accused of abandoning her daughter, Miss Pearl Sanat. As the trial unfolds, it becomes clear that Ms. Mendax is not the victim, but the perpetrator of emotional abuse, having suffocated her daughter with control disguised as love. Despite the truth being revealed, Ms. Mendax refuses to accept her actions, clinging to her pride and denial. The play ends with her trapped in her own personal hell—unable to face the consequences of her behavior, unable to let go of the chains she created for herself.
