About this Event

We invite participant registration to attend a free one day event:

Pagan Safeguarding Symposium - in collaboration with the UK Pagan Federation, Pagan and Heathen Symposium, and Police Pagan Federation.

This event will take place at Festival Hall, St Dunstan's House in Glastonbury on 12th September 2026, between 10am-4pm.

The day will include keynote presentations from Sarah Kerr, President of the UK Pagan Federation on the topics of Safeguarding, Leadership and Inclusion within Pagan Communities, and Charlotte Pardy from the Police Pagan Association, on the Safer Spaces Community Partnership Pledge initiative developed in collaboration with many key Pagan organisations and groups aroung the United Kingdom.

There will also be opportunites for other speakers to present, and a discussion panel for Pagan leaders, and support agency professionals and experts on these topics, in addition to breakout networking and community support and collaboration opportunites,. Light refreshments will be available at breaks throughout the day.

This event will also feature the SAVED PLACES model (Spiritual Abuse, Violence, Exclusion, Domination - Pagan Leadership, Active Community Engagement, Support) developed over the course of PhD research by Bliss Qadesh, a post graduate researcher at the specialst Centre for Gender and Violence Research, within the Social Harm Crime and Violence Research Group at the School for Policy Studies, University of Bristol.

We invite members of the Pagan community, Health and Social Care, Justice Agency and VAWG Sector interested in this topic to attend as guest participants, possible speakers or discussion panellists or to support attendee registration on the day are very welcome, please reach out via email to [email protected] to discuss potential contributions.
