Dear Colleague

You have been booked for your Paediatric Hospital Life Support (PHLS) in the Education Centre, QEH, on the date chosen.

Course Duration: The course will last 3:15 hours.

Pre-course preparation: All the theoretical learning will be done via eLearning prior to the course. This includes 3 elements:

• Paediatric Immediate Life Support (PILS) Manual: You might have one of these from previous PHLS courses, if this is the case you do not need to collect a new one. However, if a manual is needed, you can still collect one from the Resuscitation Services office.

• eLearning (detailed instructions on how to access the material will be sent with the booking confirmation): You can access this on the eLearning portal by clicking here and you will find it under the "Resuscitation" tab.

Once in the "Resuscitation Tab" you will find, on the top, several options:

• Face-2-face session: On your PHLS day you will have 2 practical skills stations: ABCDE approach practice and BLS skills stations (see programme).

Assessment:

• Practical (ABCDE) assessment: This will be carried out as part of your face-2-face session (see programme).
