Our blended paediatric first aid course is a 12 hour class comprised of 6 hours e-learning and 6 hours in person training.
It meets the requirements of OFSTED for registered settings. The course includes getting help safely in an emergency, roles and responsibilities of a first aider, infection control, first aid kits, assessing our casualties, the recovery position, CPR, choking, drowning, shock, allergies and anaphylaxis, bites and stings, wounds and bleeding, suspected spinal injuries, breaks/fractures, head injuries, common childhood conditions and injuries such as asthma and diabetes, seizures/epilepsy, extremes of temperature, burns, poisoning and accident reporting. Upon successful completion to the class you will be issued with a Paediatric First Aid certificate that is valid for 3 years. You will be required to complete an E-learning course ahead of your face to face course to achieve the full 12 hour training required for this qualification. You will receive details of how to access your course after you have booked.
The shorter Emergency Paediatric First Aid course, 6 hours in person, is available as an option.
Bookings are non-refundable. Good understanding of spoken English and an ability to get onto the floor to demonstrate competence in practical first aid skill is required.
