Sidemount diving is where a diver configures their tanks along their side instead of on their back, divers find that it offers more flexibility and better streamlining options!Many scuba divers have discovered the joy of mounting cylinders on their sides. Historically Sidemount diving was most popular with cave and wreck divers, where diving in an overhead environment was not suitable for backmount. Over the last few years, Sidemount diving has become more and more popular in everyday diving situations, it gives you flexibility and streamlining options.
