Paddling the Baltic Way 2026: Lithuania – Latvia – Estonia

Paddling the Baltic Way 2026 is a kayaking expedition from Vilnius, Lithuania, to Tallinn, Estonia, created as a tribute to the Baltic Way — the peaceful human chain of 1989 that connected Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in a shared call for freedom.
In the summer of 2026, I will begin the journey in Vilnius and paddle through Lithuania’s rivers, the Curonian Lagoon and along the Baltic Sea coast through Latvia and Estonia, finishing in Tallinn.
The route will cover around 1300 km and take approximately 6–8 weeks.
But this expedition is not only about distance.
It is about community, freedom, nature, history and shared Baltic identity.
