This quick course should whet your appetite for the upcoming open water season. We will cover kayak basics concerning safety, PFDs, strokes, entering and exiting kayaks and much more, as you immerse yourself with information and some paddling experience in the pool. Course is designed for the beginning boater to gain some knowledge and confidence. Bring your own boat if you can or let us know and we can provide limited boats in select sizes. $10 per person and open to ages 10 and up.
Pre-registration is through Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation.
