Paddle the Beautiful Loxahatchee

The paddle is 8.5 miles from Riverbend Park to Jonathan Dickinson. We'll meet at Riverbend Park at 9am to inflate and shuttle as many vehicles as we can down to the state park takeout. The river features two small dams that can be run over if water is high enough. The wilderness is breathtaking, all the more so because the route actually crosses dense urban and suburban development. There is a history stop at trapper Nelson’s cabin and homestead. The last 3 miles are fairly open water and increasingly brackish.
