Join us for our world famous Scones social paddle on the Yarra river, stopping at the Fairfield Boathouse for coffee & Scones. When:
Saturday 4th April.
Arrive at 7.30am.
Launch at 8.00am
Finish at 11.30am
Meet: Corben Oval, Fairfield.
This is free to attend and open to anyone.
About the paddle:
Starting at Yarra Bend Boat Ramp just near Corben Oval, we’ll paddle up to the Fairfield boathouse for morning tea, before floating back down the river to our cars.
It is a 10km round trip paddle, so a little bit of fitness needed. It’s not a hard or strenuous paddle, just a bit longer than usual. Any level of paddler is welcome, though it’s about 1 hour, 25 mins each way.
Parking:
There is lots of free parking just meters from the boat ramp and lots of grass to set up your board.
We launch at 8am, so please arrive NO LATER than 7.30am to set up your board.
You must have a leg rope for this paddle. Life jackets are ok, but not mandatory.
Sorry, no dogs allowed on this paddle.
