PERINATAL EDUCATION OPPORTUNITYThese seminars provide professional development for healthcare providers supporting whānau affected by perinatal distress related to pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood.
The theme is: WHAKAORANGA WHĀNAU WHAIORA
Our aim for this seminar is to empower participants to confidently integrate trauma-informed care principles into their practice. By recognising signs of distress and trauma, responding with empathy and appropriate interventions, and creating a safe, culturally sensitive environment, participants will enhance their ability to support healing and resilience in both individuals and whānau. Additionally, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how trauma affects mental, emotional, and physical health, equipping them to foster a more supportive and effective care environment.
Midwives can attract Continuing Education Hours.
