The City of Pomona will introduce a formal resolution demanding the release of Ramiro Santiago Pacheco Martinez at the upcoming City Council Meeting on February 23, 2026, at 7:00 PM - but we ask you show up at 6:30pm. Ramiro was detained on November 13, 2025, while waiting for a bus to collect his medication. His health is in critical condition; he suffers from congestive heart failure and pneumonia, and he relies on a pacemaker to regulate his heartbeat. With no criminal record, Ramiro poses no threat to public safety or national security.
We call upon the Pomona community to join us in thanking the City Council for this historic action. Together, we must elevate his case and demand his immediate release from the Adelanto Detention Center on urgent humanitarian and medical grounds.
