Pacifica Gravel Gran FOGdo

Having experienced the joy of Seattle’s tradition-rich cycling community for a number of years now, I hope this event will be the first of many opportunities to build a grassroots community of cycling enthusiasts around Pacifica’s broader coastal region.

This first annual choose-your-own-adventure Gravel Gran FOGdo will take you through some of the coast's most scenic and fun trails.

Choose to ride a short or long route with your besties on a mix of road, double track and single track dirt trails which will take you by local coffee shops, breweries, and eateries.

REMINDER: these trails are also used by hikers and equestrians, so please practice the appropriate courtesies. Say “hi,” use proper trail etiquette, and enjoy the scenery - this is party pace, not a race!

What does “choose-your-own-adventure” mean? Well, make sure to have the route downloaded to your device of choice as it can be difficult to follow the many twists and turns out there but feel free to get lost along the way, have a coffee and pastry, or finish with a pint - that’s part of the adventure!

If you’re new to the area, Pacifica, or gravel riding and you prefer to follow the leader - keep your eye out for local bike industry guide(s) who will be in attendance. The following local businesses will have representatives riding along:

In general, wide-ish knobby tires and low gearing on your gravel/all-road drop bar/flat bar bike will do you right. If you’re feeling a bit more rowdy and you have the stamina, bring your hardtail MTB and explore the extensive single track options along the route. Be prepared for some rocks, loose sections, hard-packed sections, roots, switchbacks, perhaps a bit of hike-a-bike. And don’t forget about Karl the Fog - dress appropriately.

This is a public ride, meaning it is outside of the jurisdiction of any specific organization. In other words, it is open to any and all riders hoping to join and no one person or group is responsible or liable for anything that might occur throughout the ride. Individuals join at your own discretion and risk. Leave only tire-prints.

You are responsible for your own wellbeing throughout the duration of the day - no support is provided.
