Pacific Powered Peoples invites you to our Fiafia night 🌺⚡️
This is a night to celebrate our cultures and share stories of energy resilience here in Tāmaki Makaurau. At this event, we will be launching Pacific Powered Peoples!
Pacific Powered Peoples is a collaboration of different Pacific communities in Tāmaki Makaurau looking to address the high rates of energy hardship experienced by our communities in Aotearoa. By coming together and using our ancestral ways of climate action, Pacific Powered Peoples advocates for fairer access to energy for our peoples.
With the cost of living increasing, so has the cost of powering our homes. According to the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment, Māori and Pacific communities are two to three times more likely to experience energy hardship. These statistics will only get worse if we do not step in to support one another.
Pacific Powered Peoples Fiafia night is the beginning of our journey to support one another, so we want to see you there.
Join us on the 29th of August 2026 for a night of performances, food, and storytelling. Doors open at 5pm with performances beginning at 6pm.
Tickets cost $15 (excl fees)
⚡️Each ticket includes entry and one supper plate for the night.
⚡️ Free entry for those aged 5 years old and under.
⚡️Tickets will be available on the night too, but they're limited, so best to get yours as soon as possible!
